A poem about life and death, wrote after someone I knew died.
Oh my soul you’re
here and then you’re gone.
Rocking to and fro
like the wind in a storm.
My soul what is that
I see is it our destinies?
Like the wind we
come and we go we live and we die oh my soul.
Be ready for
tomorrow brings something new we’ve not seen.
Don’t dampen the
fields of creativity; don’t let the evil one in not even for a peek.
For when you cross
that threshold you face evils untold.
No one can know
there time to leave this earth, so we live and we die.
But if we are very
wise we will live through the forceful tides.
We will live a life
that is served to our Lord and a glory that will be told.
For when that day
shall come in you, prepare your heart you never know how soon.
A man was here then
he was gone no traces left of that one.
Oh my soul what do I
seek, maybe peace inside of me.
For this I will let
God be my peace.
