Prayer of Saftey

Lord I ask you now to fortify these walls with your presence, sanctify these floors with your love. Open the flood gates of Heaven and pour out your spirit from above. Praise goes to you for all the things you've done. Praise goes forth to a God whose watched over all of us. We continue to serve you and abide by your word. We continue to adore you and always put you first. Tear down these walls we put up to keep the hurt out. And heal all of our inner most being and let you love spew out. Amen.

Preparing Against The Wiles Of The Devil

Ephesians 6: 10-18

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

This passage to me tells me that we are not in a physical battle where we can always see our enemies and fight them. But we are in a Spiritual battle where our enemy is satan and sometimes it may be difficult for us to tell where he is and what snares he's trying to throw in our way. So we must be in prayer and our spirit must agree with the spirit of God, so that we will be ready for any kind of distress or persecution the enemy may bring upon us.

National Day Of Prayer

Today is the national day of prayer. I love this day. Every year at school I used to look forward to this day because it was the one day when people who wanted to would gather around the flag pole and pray. It's the one day of year where I feel most peaceful, just thinking about people all over the world praying. People actually taking time to stop and talk to God. It is an amazing day and I look forward to it every year, and I love this day! At least our nation has still one day set aside for prayer. Now if only people would spend more days in prayer our nation would be even more peaceful than before. Everyone take time to pray, thank God for the things in your life and for his goodness. Pray for his blessings and ask for his forgiveness, and forgive others so you will be forgiven. It's hard, but with God's help you can come to a place where you feel peace even about the bad things that has happened to you. So don't fret or fear, forgiveness isn't easy but it's possible. At least the world is praying! Thank the Lord!
