Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! A poem for Easter.
Long ago on a cross that we all know
hung a prisoner in our place for crimes that was our disgrace.
A crown of thrones for our sufferings
A mocked God for our misery.
A passion for the ages forgiveness that we all know
A pierced side where our Savior's blood did flow.
Worst than any pain you possibly could know
was a God whose love did show.

Mission Statement April 1st, 2012

Every time I read the Bible I find new mission statement that could be easily said were my mission statements of how to live my life. So from time to time I may put on here Mission Statement and the date saying that I found a new mission statement to live by. Here's today's.

Philippians 4:5-9

Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Philippians 4:11-13

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: everywhere and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Don't you just love how the bible and God may say something like I know how to be full and to be hungry, something that to human beings may not make much sense. But to God all things makes sense, and if we can strive to know of God more each day, then the impossible that we believe to be impossible, can become possible with Christ in our hearts and lives. Believe to believe, believe in the unseen, the impossible, believe in what others would call foolish, believe in God.

All In The Mind

So those of you who have ever felt sad, depressed, lonely, etc; I'm here to tell you I know what your going through. I have real high highs and real low lows, (it's part of my medical condition) So I can understand the mental and emotional pain your in. The way I get through mine is by prayer, faith, and xanax. I know that prayer can make things happen. Faith can move a mountain. And God has always been my strength when times were tough and when they were good. He is the one that will stick with you through all bad and good. He will never leave or forsake you, it is us that leaves him.

Another thing to think of is this "It's all in the mind." Just tell yourself it's all in the mind, you can choose to be happy, sad, lonely, glad, depressed, uplifted, etc. When that feeling of depression or unshakable sadness comes over you, just remember we can choose how we want to feel. While I may not be able to stop this blood disease, find a cure for cancer, save the world from hunger or poverty, I can remember that I am in control of my own emotions. I can conquer this demon that tears away at my emotions and mind.

Cause after all It's all in the mind!

Christmas Time Is Here!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Christmas is my favorite holiday out of all the holidays there are. Why? Because first it's when we celebrate Christ's being born. And it's a time of miracles, good cheer. When strangers are nice to each other for no reason at all. It's a time of hope, faith, love. When good things happen just for no reason at all. It's a time for family, sharing, caring. And also a time for snow!

I love singing Christmas songs, watching Christmas movies, seeing Christmas lights. It all feels my heart with happiness. I love seeing snow fall. Not like a blizzard, or sleet. Just simple snow where it doesn't stick on the road or cause problems, just when it's white and pretty to look at.

I love the cold, building a fire, drinking hot cocoa. And having a Christmas tree. I love when my mom insists on reading the stories her father read to her. The one about the trees, the little one or the donkey, and the story about the candy cane. Even though I could probably tell them from memory. Still hearing them again is nice.

Most of all I love feeling like God is close and it's a time for the whole world to see it. The doubters can't deny the good cheer and happy feelings. They can't run and hide on God's big day.

Merry Christmas all and Happy New Year!!

Don't spend a lot on presents and material things, but more importantly make God the center of your day!

I can carry on for Christ!!

So you all know I have this rare gentic blood disease. And being that, it can cause me a lot of pain. There are days where I think I'm going to die because the pain is just too much for me to bear, it's too much for anyone to bear. It's as if I'm being operated on alive, and there are sharp knives stabbing me all over my body. And I pray to God for mercy, and He always shows me mercy. But one thing that gets me through the pain and suffering I go through since my disease is one of the most painful diseases out there. When I'm being attacked by the pain I think Christ died on the cross for my sins, all are sins, if He can bear that much pain, more so than any human would ever have to bear, surely I can get through this. And Jesus by the mercy of God gets me through it. Cause I know that Christ beared a lot more pain than I'll ever have to. And He always has and always will see me through my hour of pains.

The Blood of Jesus is on the Door Post of My Heart

In the old testament of the Bible God sent plagues to Egypt because they would not let Israel go. One of the plagues was every first born child would die. But God told Moses to have all the children of Israel to put the blood of a lamb on the door post of their houses and the death angel would pass over them. So they did this, and all the ones that had the blood on the door post of their house the death angel passed over, but the ones that did not, the angel of death came in and took the first born child.

Today we wonder how this could apply to our lives. Well it symbolizes the blood of Jesus. When Jesus died on the cross He died for everyone that had ever been born, to every one that was already alive, to every one that ever would be born. He died for the entire world to cover a multitude of their sins. But He can't cover your sin if His blood is not applied to the door post of your heart.

How do you get the blood of Jesus applied to the door post of your heart? First you must realize that you are a sinner. We are all born into sin. Then you must confess your sins to God, ask Him for forgiveness. And mean it in your heart, you MUST have a change of heart for God to come in and apply the blood of Jesus to your heart.

But, once you do accept Christ as your Lord and Savior, accept that He died on the cross for everyone's sins, for your sins, and on the third day God rose Him from the grave. And you are a new creation in Christ and the old things passes away and all things become new. You will feel so much lighter, you won't be burden down by your sins and the weight of guilt you carry. And when the angel of death comes by the door post, he will pass over you because you have the blood of Jesus applied to your heart. Now, I don't mean you won't ever die, but I refer to the angel of death as satan, and on judgment day, satan won't have anything on you. "The hold the devil had on me, he ain't got no more."

My life in Christ is glorious. I have problems every day just like every one. But, I take my problems to the Lord, and He provides me with the answer, or the strength to carry on. We must carry on, we must carry on for Christ.

Update 10/23/14

To this day I will take my hand and pray for our house and safety by applying this bible story to my life today. I take my right hand and move it over the door post of my door, I start with the left side of the door at the bottom and go up then I go to the middle from left to right then I go to the right side from top to bottom. I know that me doing that doesn't put anything on the door, it's just a way of praying that I use, I don't actually touch the door just use my hand in the motion of the blood being applied to the three sides of the door. It's my way of saying The Blood of Jesus is Here, and for satan to leave me alone.
