Heat Stroke

Small poem I wrote about the insane heat wave that's going on here!

Living in a heat wave.
Feeling trapped like a animal in a cage.
Brian stuck in a hazy daze.
Ready to scream out in an angry rage.

As temperature rise I feel like I'm going insane.
This heat is getting me down inside.
I don't think I can take much more so I pray for rain.
Just want to find a giant pool to go in and hide.

Bondage

To have people look into their souls and turn around their deeds of woe.

To make amends with things of the past.

To turn to God and for his help to ask.

These things may seem difficult to some, but not to me because God has become my best friend over the years.

My early life brought me pain, sorrow, and tears, but in this time of utter distress I turned to God and found rest.

I found a place where I could go, where I wouldn’t be judged based on the fashion of my clothes, or what hair do I had that day, or even the sickness that tried to take my life away.

None of these things did God judge me on, though humans had high standards for me.

Standards I couldn’t understand or see, standards I couldn’t measure up to, so I found I had to leave.

But God has been my strong rock of faith and rest. Though the others mocked and said I couldn’t have God in my new life away from their nest of vipers and lies.

But early on in life I promised God that in a moment of fright to let me live that night and to see daylight, and if he did, I promised I would be good.

Since then a goodness has become me. Even when I’m bad I feel guilty. Even though some others would disagree.

They say I’m bad because I choose not to follow their rules. Their rules, manmade sanitations that no one could follow.

Only the vipers’ prey upon the mice, only the snake sees with his rotten eye.

So God through his mighty wisdom showed me greater things then these.

And in dreams and visions he did let me see. A better world that I could live in and be happy.

A sadness left me when I left them; something fell off our lives since then.

Bondage is a strong word most don’t understand.

Bondage can be anything small or big. It can overcome your life.

It brings out the spirit of a man and crushes him down to size.

Is this the life you want to lead? Is this what God has called his children to be?

A people bound and not free? I think not, I know God died to set us free.

Freedom is easy to understand, it’s simple to get, just hold out your hand.

Learn to grab onto God’s grace and goodness.

And learn to turn and walk away from a nest of vipers and their lies.

Learn to stand strong in Christ, hold your head up high.

Man doesn’t set rules not in the word of God.

Man doesn’t add to or take away from the word of God.

God is the potter and we are the clay.

What will you choose today?

To live bound or to live free?

Here are some deals I scored this past week with coupons and sales!!!

Walgreens:

This week they had the Sally Hansen beauty tools 30% off, plus with a $10 purchase you got back $5 RR. Plus there were coupons $2 off in the paper one week, so with every $3 or more item I got I used a $2 off coupon, got back $5 RR. And used several different transactions so I got several $5 RR back.

So then I used 2 of the $5 RR on the 10 for $10 sale.

Infusium 23 products had a $1 RR on them and I also had a $1 off coupon.

L'oreal hair products one sale for $2.99, had a $1 off coupon.

Noxema razor buy one get one free, plus I used 2 $2 off coupon.

Clear Eyes, in the walgreens July coupon book they have a $1 off coupon and also had a manufacturer coupon $1 off.

Garnier hair products 4 for $14. used 4 $1 off coupons then got back $4 in RR.

Lysol neutra air freshmatic, get $3 RR back, on sale for $7.99.

St. Ives lotion was just on sale and I couldn't pass it up.

Gum 2 pack toothbrushes were $2, and you got $2 back RR.

Crest was 2 for $7, and I had 2 $2 off coupons. and there might have been a RR, I can't remember on this one.

The scotch tape was on sale for $1.04 and I used it as a filler with my RR's.


Tyenlol Precise pain patch, walgreens coupon book has $3 off coupon, plus manufacturer coupon for $2, made it really cheap!!! :)

Love sales and deals, love building stock pile, even if it is hard on you to try to keep up with all the sales. Pulling hair out painful!

2 twelve pack coca cola, on sale for $2.79 each!

2 Ritz crackers, $5.00 together, used $1.00 off two coupon

1 Ritz crack snack $2.50

1 Newtons Fruit Thins free with the purchase of the 3 Ritz items.

2 Pepperidge Farms Chips 2 for $4.00 used 2 $1.00 off coupons got for $1.00 each.

2 Pepperidge Farms Milano Melts 2 for $4.00 used 2 $1.00 off coupons got for $1.00 each.

2 Ortego taco seasonings 60 cents each, used 50 cents off 2 coupon.

A.1. Steak Sauce $3.19 used a $1.00 off Target coupon and used a $1.00 off manufacturer coupon got for $1.19!

1 Clariol Natural Instints hair color on sale for $4.85 used one manufacturer $3.00 off coupon and one $1.00 off Target coupon paid only 85 cents!

2 L'Oreal Preference hair color $7.99 each, used 2 $1.00 off Target coupons and got back a $5.00 Target gift card.

2 Nicole nail polishes these weren't on sale, but my coupon for $1.00 off expires today, so I went ahead and got 2 of them since I love anything by OPI!

Nivea Goodbye Cellulite $9.59, used one $3.00 off Target coupon, and one $3.00 off manufacturer coupon. Paid $3.59!

Some of the items like the Nivea sun kissed lotion and Nicole nail polish wasn't the best deal, but I went ahead and got them since the coupons I had for them expired today. So I still saved a little on those. But the best deals were the A.1 Steak Sauce, Airwick Freshamatic Ultra starter kit, Pepperidge Farms products, Coke 12 packs, John Frieda Full Repair Shampoo, and the Hair Color! Yay!!
