Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! A poem for Easter.
Long ago on a cross that we all know
hung a prisoner in our place for crimes that was our disgrace.
A crown of thrones for our sufferings
A mocked God for our misery.
A passion for the ages forgiveness that we all know
A pierced side where our Savior's blood did flow.
Worst than any pain you possibly could know
was a God whose love did show.

Pandemic

I never thought I'd live through a pandemic. Every day it seems like things are getting worse, people are sick and dying and there's nothing we can do to stop it. The only thing we can do is to pray and trust in God during these trying times. Prayer and faith is what will get us through. Trusting in God is the best thing to cling onto. That and staying inside and away from other people is what we need. Hopefully this will be over soon!

All About Me!!!

Ok, so it's been a long time since I wrote anything really about myself. Most of what I write is poems or about God or my sickness or what I'm up to. So here is a mini all about me story.

When I was little I was full of energy and usually ended up bouncing off the walls! Not literally!  I loved dancing. I would come home from school and dance for hours. I was always listening to music. I remember being in school and all I could think about was going home turning the music on and dancing. Then as I got older I got sick and the doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. My parents took me to all kinds of doctors, I had all kinds of tests and procedures done. It got to the point where I was sick of needles, sick of tests, and sick of the doctor. In general I was just sick of being sick. It wasn't until my senior year of high school the doctors found out I had a rare genetic blood disease called Porphyria. Still there are eight different kind of Porphyria and the doctors didn't know which kind I had. I would have to wait a few more years to know that I had Coproporphyria. It can be extremely painful. I have been through a lot with this disease. I don't even know how to begin to tell what all I've been through. It was frustrating because I would tell people I was sick, but because I didn't always look sick, because they didn't understand the disease or never even heard of it they didn't believe me. I would get so sick of explaining my disease, explaining yes I am sick. It stole years off my life. My friends moved on without me, my family disliked me, it was only me and my parents and God. Then my dad got lung cancer which ended up being cured and he is currently in remission. But out of that I met an oncologist/hematologist, my dad's doctor. He knew about blood disorders and was able to help me. There is no cure for what I have. But with prayer, food, and medicine I'm able to manage it better now. I still have moments, days, where I don't feel good, I have to fight through the pain and suffering to keep moving on. Currently I'm back in college working on my degree. I'm getting close to finishing in a little over a year. I love to write, I used to write a lot more than I do now. I would just spend hours writing spilling out my emotions and thoughts. I love art. Painting is one of my passions. Even though I'm not the best painter I still love it. Most of my artwork is very abstract. I have a unique way I see the world. I believe all things are possible through God. Even things we can't understand. I have a child like sense of wonder maybe fairies could be real, I would love for mermaids, unicorns, dragons, etc to really exist. A lot of the time I'm in my own little world. Even though I have grown up and seen the world I do still maintain that sense of wonder something I hope to keep with me forever.

No time

This is an old poem I wrote a long time ago I just found it and thought I'd share it.

Trapped inside a world full of confusion and doubt, fear creeps in and work his way all around.
There's no time to pray and there's no time to breathe, there's only time to worry about tomorrow and what tomorrow brings.
But don't worry, don't let fear take hold, for Jesus will heal you, Jesus will make you whole.
Just don't worry just live and let be. Take hold of life's reigns and be the best you can be.

Rainy Day

So I'm sitting inside on a gloomy rainy day and hearing on the news that there has been several accidents. This morning as I was driving and saw the firetrucks and ambulances go by I prayed for the people they were going to help and I can't keep but thinking days like this aren't fun. When it seems like life goes wrong and nothing works out right, you feel like throwing your hands up and giving up but if we had just a little more patience and a lot more faith in God we would see things aren't always as bad as we think they are. Maybe everyone in the accidents are alright and not hurt. Maybe we need the rain to keep from having a drought. It only looks gloomy because the sky is gray and rainy and it makes us feel gloomy. But sometimes we must go beyond what we feel inside that makes us feel down and sad and think of the better days ahead. How that when we trust in God He will help us and work everything out for us when we put our faith in him.

Life Update

So I know I haven't been on here in awhile. So here's a life update. I'm going back to college. I'm working on my undergrad degree. I'm obsessed with subscription beauty boxes, but unlike the really cool people who gets lots of them a month I am only limited to a handful. I wished I could afford to get more than I do, but I'm thankful for what I do get. I've given up drinking soda. I had help by drinking smoothies in its place. Yes I know that smoothies can have a lot of sugar but I don't drink them everyday and if you put that in place of all the soda I was drinking it would be about the same amount or less. Also they're healthier for you. I keep pretty busy just doing school work and doing my beauty boxes unboxing on Youtube and Instagram. Here's some pics of my lovely beauty boxes! These are just a few I also get a k-beauty box every month too! And some months I'm able to get extra boxes from other subscriptions as well. I usually have to cancel the extra ones after a couple of month, but it's lots of fun!!!

The One Free Thing

In a world where you have to pay for everything you want and need it's nice to know that there is still one free thing, salvation. Because Jesus paid the price for us on Calvary so we wouldn't have to pay it and so that we wouldn't be lost.

If you ever felt like this (short poem)

I'm up, I'm down I'm sinking now
The pit's mouth opens and swallows me

Then you will be happy to know that salvation is still free. Yes, Jesus paid the cost for us.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas. There once was a savior who came to earth to be born, live, die, and rise again for all of our sins, for all of our sorrow, for all of our pain so that we too could be part of his fold. Won't you receive him today? Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Prayer of Saftey

Lord I ask you now to fortify these walls with your presence, sanctify these floors with your love. Open the flood gates of Heaven and pour out your spirit from above. Praise goes to you for all the things you've done. Praise goes forth to a God whose watched over all of us. We continue to serve you and abide by your word. We continue to adore you and always put you first. Tear down these walls we put up to keep the hurt out. And heal all of our inner most being and let you love spew out. Amen.

Seeing the Good, Being the Good

In a world that is filled with controversy, pain, and hate I try to see the good in things. But I realize it's not just about seeing the good in things, it's about being the good as well. When things around you seem hopeless and anger is in the air be the one that calms it. When the spirit is failing and hope seems lost be the peace that breaks the storm. Of course you can't do this on your own. It isn't actually you on your own. It is by letting God be the center of your world and letting his peace, and his spirit walk you through the tough times in life that you can come from a place of calm and peace and say enough, peace be still.

God Brings Only Good

Going through any kind of hardship tests your faith. Some people blame God, some people think God is responsible for bringing on hardships in our lives. Yet God doesn't bring anything bad on us. When we are going through hard times we must remember that we are humans, humans sin, humans are born, grow, and die. Life can be good and it can be hard but nothing bad ever comes from God. We must remember that because of sin comes death and since man's first sin consequences followed. Those consequences being death. So we must remember that God brings only good things to us and in trials he can help us through and make something beautiful out of something bad. For God only brings good.

James 1:13King James Version (KJV)

13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

Trying

Trying
Trying hard to hold it together trying not to lose my way.
Trying to be a help not a bother trying to make no mistakes.
Just want to be useful and not a burden to anyone.
Just want to succeed in something so that they can say hey yeah she’s the one to go to.
Instead of saying oh poor her she’s suffering an illness that’s eating away at her.
I’m still trying to be useful, not to be a burden to anyone.
No one seems to get it, I’m in a boat and there’s a leak and now my boats sunk.

Oh My Soul

A poem about life and death, wrote after someone I knew died.

Oh my soul you’re here and then you’re gone.
Rocking to and fro like the wind in a storm.
My soul what is that I see is it our destinies?
Like the wind we come and we go we live and we die oh my soul.
Be ready for tomorrow brings something new we’ve not seen.
Don’t dampen the fields of creativity; don’t let the evil one in not even for a peek.
For when you cross that threshold you face evils untold.
No one can know there time to leave this earth, so we live and we die.
But if we are very wise we will live through the forceful tides.
We will live a life that is served to our Lord and a glory that will be told.
For when that day shall come in you, prepare your heart you never know how soon.
A man was here then he was gone no traces left of that one.
Oh my soul what do I seek, maybe peace inside of me.
For this I will let God be my peace.

Life is Hard, But God is Strong

Life is extremely hard especially if you deal with any kind of disease. Well apparently there are people who think I'm fine, they think that the disease isn't real enough to bother them. Well that is just backward thinking. Just because I'm young doesn't mean I don't know pain. I've already had a death bed experience, I've been diagnosed with a rare genetic blood disease that affects both body and mind. And now I have even other problem that I deal with. But when I'm feeling the most hurt, the most angry, the most outrage, that's when I know it's time to turn it over to God. Because God is stronger than all them combined and God can help me just with his spirit by being strong for me. When I am weak he is strong. God is all the help I need to get through this fight.  The point is I just give it to God and he helps calm me down. God is the reason for everything in my life, the reason I live, the reason I'm not completely insane. God's words are ever with me and I follow the ten commandants with all my heart. I don't need to be concerned with what this world thinks of me, I need to be concerned with what God thinks of me. After all his opinion is all that matters anyways.

Couponing 101: It's Back!!!!

OK, So I guess it never went away, I just quit messing with it for awhile. But here today couponing is back!!!! And let me just say CVS Rocks!

This past week at CVS it was buy 2 Maybelline products get $5.00 extra bucks. And in the coupon inserts of past there was $2.00 off Maybelline face product. So I ended up getting a lot of the lip balm and only paying like $2.30 a piece ($2.29, but I round up…) So then I even got a brow pencil set and concealer and still only paid $2.99 for one and $2.19 for the other. So then with the extra buck back it really just ends up paying for itself. Of course I had went earlier so I had a lot of different extra bucks, so I did like several different transactions where by using my coupons and the extra bucks I ended up either paying nothing at all or like 19 cents, 78 cents, $1.24, etc.

I also got the colgate toothpaste deal where you buy four and get $6.00 extra bucks. I also had four $1.00 off coupons so it ended up being $8.00 for four but then I got $6.00 back. Win, win!! These are going to a church in Alaska that my grandfather help start. I send them packages sometimes with stuff that I get while couponing. They have to pay so much more money for stuff in Alaska and I feel like I'm apart of my grandfather's ministry by helping them out sending them stuff in the mail.

I've also done the nivea deal where you buy $10.00 worth of nivea and get $3.00 extra bucks back. I've gotten 2 body washes and 2 lotions. All together without coupons that equaled up to about $21.00 so then with coupons I only paid $16.50 and then got back 2 $3.00 extra bucks. So in the end it was like paying $10.50 for all four items.

I also went to Wal-Mart and got some of the Ivory body washes and Ivory 3 pack soaps they are 99 cents at my Wal-Mart and I had some 50 cent off coupons so I ended up paying like 49 cents for them each.

There was also some Noxzema razors for 19 cents. They were $2.19 and I used a $2.00 off coupon, paid 19 cents each.

The Venus razors at Wal-Mart are $6.98 and if you buy 3 you can use 2 $3.00 off coupons and 1 buy 2 get one free coupon ending up paying $8.00 for three packs of razors.

Nutella is also a good deal with buy one get one free of the single to go pack and then $1.50 off any other size, I bought a size that was about $3 and something and then with the coupon it ended up being a little less than half of that.

I also got the nivea smaller size (the smallest size my coupon would allow!) for like $2.96 at Wal-Mart and then use $1.50 off coupon, now that's dirt cheap!!!

Also at Wal-greens you can get wisk detergent for $2.19, it's on sale for $3.19 then use $1.00 off coupon.

I don't remember if it was Wal-greens or CVS but there was the Arizona drinks for 2 for $1.00 at I believe Wal-greens. At CVS it was buy one lipton tea drink get one free and get $2.00 extra buck back. This was last weeks deal, not this weeks. Then at CVS there was also the Sundown vitamins buy one get one free and I used $1.00 off coupons as well so I ended up paying like $3.50ish for 2 vitamins. I'm sending them to Alaska as well. I will actually be sending some of the different things to them. I try to get as much as I can for myself and my mother and then send stuff to Alaska as well.

There's all kinds of great deals you can get with coupons, coupons can be found in the Sunday papers and if your real adventurous you can go to your local recoiling center and dig through the newspaper bin to find coupon inserts.

My favorite couponing website are the Krazy Coupon Lady and I like to go to CVS web site and look at their weekly ad, also do the same thing for the Wal-greens website. The Krazy Coupon Lady website can be found at the right hand of this blog main page on down under favorite coupon links.

Bic Soleil Glow

So I got a 3 pack of Bic Soleil Glow razors from Bic via Bzz Agent. They were pretty nice razors and I really liked them. They come in cool colors and seem to leave my skin feeling smooth afterwards without cuts or shave rashes after I used the razor for the first time. So here's a interesting razor for you to go and try.

And if your interested in becoming a Bzz Agent check out their website here...
